TRAININGS AND EXPERIENCE

For the last 12 years, I have been offering formal and informal death support to community members, young people, teen parents, organizers, activists, and marginalized communities in Texas and DC. In the last four years that I have been working as a death worker post my training with Going with Grace I have supported members of various local grassroots organizations and membership-based community groups with grief processing sessions including around COVID-19 grief and death experiences, with local street vendors around harmful experiences with police, university students protesting in solidarity with Palestine, and I have hosted consistent seasonal death cafes for the last 4 years, which have always been open to the community at-large. Additionally, I have supported fellow community organizers, young people, and community leaders through grief experiences and in their own bereavement rights advocacy in their organizations and places of work.
